Piparras, also called guindillas in Spain, are Spain’s beloved pickled chillies with a mild heat and a hint of sweetness. These peppers have a tender crunch and thin skin that makes them seriously addictive.
Originating from Navarra, you’ll often see them skewered on a toothpick in a Gilda—the classic tapas bar bite with an olive, an anchovy, and a guindilla. But they’re just as good tucked into sandwiches, tossed through salads, or served straight from the jar alongside a cold drink.
These come from Espinaler, a Catalan icon that’s been around for more than 100 years. Famous for their cult Espinaler Sauce, tinned olives, pickles and olive oil chips; they’re masters of making everyday snacking feel like a celebration.
