Diemen’s is Australia’s only native hot sauce, fired by locally-grown chillies and Tasmania’s mountain pepper. Grown in the pristine, cool rainforests of Southern Tasmania, the Diemen pepper berry gives our hot sauce a distinctive fruity flavour with hints of Aussie bush. The peppery zing comes from a compound called polygodial which gives Diemen’s chilli a satisfying spicy kick. Enjoy!
“Tasmania’s wild mountain pepper can be up to five times hotter than ordinary black pepper, with a different taste sensation to chilli. Prized by chefs for its lingering afterburn.” - The Australian June 2014
Original Hot Sauce
Diemen’s Original Hot Sauce, with the spicy kick of Tasmania’s own native Diemen pepper berry – packs up to five time more punch than ordinary black pepper. The pepper’s fragrant Aussie rainforest flavour and slow after burn is prized by chefs and food lovers, but the native ingredient is taken to a whole new level with Aussie- grown chilies in our sauce.
Stinger Hot Sauce
If you like your hot sauce kicked up a notch, Diemen’s Stinger is for you. Made in Australia with 100% local ingredients, our secret heat source was born in Tasmania’s pristine rainforest. It’s the Diemen pepper berry, which contains polygodial – a hot compound which starts with a unique fruity flavour with hints of Aussie rainforest, slowly releasing a tingling burn similar to Sichuan pepper.
Diemen’s all natural Tomato Ketchup is everything we love about the ‘tom sauce’ we grew up on but uniquely made with 100% Australian grown tomatoes and Tasmania’s native ‘Diemen’ pepper. It’s 5 times stronger than your normal black pepper and prized by chefs for its flavour and lingering afterburn.
Smokin BBQ Sauce
Aussies do love an outdoor cook, so we created an all-natural, smoky sauce that speaks to everything great about the Australian BBQ. Our recipe is uniquely made with Tasmanian native ‘Diemen’ pepper. It’s 5 times stronger than your normal black pepper and prized by chefs for its flavour and lingering afterburn. We’ve also added smoked salt and Worcester to balance out an earthy tone and apple cider vinegar finish.
